Full time: Knights take the three points away from the Den today winning 2-1. Dawes late strike was the difference.

We’re into extra time here and Knights are still holding on. It looks like they will take the three points here. 

If Knights win they will effectively confirm the relegation of Uni. This would put them nine points clear of the bottom with a substantially better goal difference. 

Hawkins is on the pitch and Bevan is not. We may have missed that as a half time substitution so apologies to the readers for that!

84′ GOAL! Knights 2-1! Dawes is put through one-on-one by Nowicki after Cuthbertson gifted him the ball in the Lion’s defensive half! Knights have to hold out for five minutes and they will take the three points away from the Den.

82′ Clay tries an audacious first time bicycle but it goes just wide to the left of the Lions goal!

The Lions look more likely to take this match at the moment. The last 10 minutes have been played predominantly in their attacking half.

71′ Farquhar is clipped in the box but doesn’t go down and play is called on. If he had of gone down I think there would have been a fair penalty shout there but credit to the player for trying to play on.

63′ Marchioli has a good run down the right. He beats one and then gets his cross in but it is cleared by the Lion’s defence.

62′ Peter gifts the Lions the ball in a dangerous position and then they get a free kick. Lions within range here! Schuth’s shot from the set piece is blocked well and Knights get away with it.

Cowen is warming up for Lions. 

60′ Johnson shoots over the bar after Huigsloot headed the corner down to him. That was a great chance!

60′ Marney with a good run down the right now but his cross is deflected out for another Knights corner.

58′ Nowicki with a rocket of a shot at Duncan. Duncan was up to the task though and tipped it out for a corner. The corner is then headed just over by Huigsloot! Knights pushing to break the deadlock here.

57′ Knights with another corner. It is cleared easily by Marchioli.

49′ Clay has a shot from a set piece from about 30 yards out but Duncan tips it over the bar for a corner. Lions looked shaky defending the corner and Kamano almost got on the end of it.

Half-time: It was a stop start first half and one which yielded few highlights but for now it is all square at the Den 1-1.

41′ CAUTION: Di Falco goes in the book this time for a bad challenge.

34′ GOAL! Lions 1-1! Peter gifts Lions a goal. Schuth was put through in on the left and Peter advance as if to come for the ball but got caught in no mans land. Schuth rounded him with a touch and slotted the ball from an angle on the left. Lions draw level.

33′ Knights have a good few minutes of sustained pressure which ends in a shot from distance from Huigsloot that goes wide to the right.

29′ Kang has another shot which is saved again by Peter in goals for Knights.

22′ GOAL! Knights 1-0! Kamano heads past Duncan after a great cross from the left from my boy Simon Strang. Knights score with their first shot of the game! Kamano timed his run to perfection and met the ball just in front of Duncan.

20′ Kang pounces on an error from a clearance out of the Knights defence and tries to chip Peter but the keeper just holds onto it.

17′ Marchioli heads just over at the near post after a nice set piece ball from Trent Pearce on the left.

14′ The rain is getting torrential here! It’s sideways and extremely hard to see from the warm confines of press box!

We’re twelve minutes in here and there has not been much to report. Kang’s early shot has been the only one of the game so far! 

It’s been a back and forth start here and now the rain is coming down again. It’s going to be a slog down at the Den today! Lions with the best of the chances so far.

2′ Kang has the first shot in anger of both teams and Peter has to get down to his right to tip it out for the first corner of the game. That was a good early effort from distance from Kang.

The pitch looks fairly heavy down here today and whilst the sun is shining now there was a huge downpour just before I arrived and there looks like there is more to come.

After plenty of big announcement during the week we are back into the real business as we bring you both games from Olinda Grove and Lightwood Park this afternoon ahead of the clash between Clarence and South tonight.
